One reference photo can communicate more than a long list of style names, but it still needs to be translated into a booking. The pink gradient shown here is a visual reference. It does not tell you whether your nails need an overlay, extra length, removal or a separate design add-on.
Name the part of the photo you want
Start with the overall shape and approximate length. Then describe the base color, whether the finish looks sheer or opaque and which nails have decorative work. You may like the color without wanting the same length.
If you have several references, identify one main direction and explain which detail each extra image illustrates. Mixing a different shape, color and complex design at the appointment can require a different plan from the service originally booked.
Choose the base appointment first
The manicure guide compares no-polish care, nude or translucent base finishes and services that include gel color. The base appointment is separate from French tips, chrome or other nail art.
If the reference is longer than your current nails, compare an extension service rather than relying on a natural-length overlay to provide added length. For an overlay at your present length, review the builder gel comparison.
Reserve the decorative work
The menu lists design options such as French, chrome, ombré, hand-painted detail and a signature design. Choose the closest option and tell the studio how many nails need the detail. Ask before booking if the reference does not match a listed add-on.
A nail design is not automatically included because it is small in a photograph. Fine lines, repeated details or multiple finishes can still require dedicated time.
Bring the reference and the existing-product details
Tell the studio what is already on your nails and whether it was applied elsewhere. Product removal, individual repairs and extensions may need their own add-ons even if the desired final look is simple.
Clients from New Tampa can choose Carrollwood or South Tampa. Review the selected service, design and address before confirming. The technician can discuss how the reference fits your nails and reserved appointment.
